Artist kabiru was born in a slum in Kenya. Growing up in a garbage dump, he used garbage as a material and inspiration for artistic creation!

When he was young, he liked glasses very much. He liked to catch people's faces through glasses, but his father never let him wear real glasses. He never gave up his love of glasses.

He began to make his own glasses out of all kinds of discarded materials. While these glasses exude charming charm, they also make people start to look at "garbage" in a new way.

Each pair of glasses has only one, which he made from waste materials found on the streets of Nairobi

The self-taught artist now has his own studio at the visual arts center in Nairobi.

"I was only three when I made my first pair of eyes, and I didn't even know how to dress. The glasses are made of wire. Art is not for white people and rich people. Kenyans also know art. "
